BT - the cost for Rankine would still be quite high I suspect. GC should be fighting hard to keep him otherwise what is the point of their existence?
Like Basil Fawlty said when Sybil asked what the point of being alive was. "No point, we're just struck with it"
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It will be interesting how Rankine goes over pre season. He was dropped for the last few rounds.

He has all the ability in the world but is lazy as lazy.
More of an In Bruges guy?

        5. Connor Rozee (Port Adelaide)
        4. Max King (St Kilda)
        3. Bailey Smith (Western Bulldogs)
        2. Ben King (Gold Coast)
        1. Sam Walsh (Carlton)
        Absolute rubbisb list
B.Smith has achieved more than any of the others in the list
        He should be number one

His the first into a gf which he played major part
Sure king will get 800 k in a year or two as a fat contract but he would have achieved nothing in his career

Sam walsh should be dumping carlton and come to us. He should see how other round 1 draft picks have ended up with nothing in their cupboards: gibbs, murphy, kreuzer, walker and cripps,

Chriss judd does not count as the afl turned a blind eye on all the embarrassador work he did for visy

I have to disagree, Sam Walsh is a very very good player, and deserves to be number one at this stage of their careers.

Yeah, I’m ecstatic to have Baz and his finals have been outstanding, but Walsh has been the clear number one from that draft from the get go. A really impressive footballer.

Walsh finished second or third in the AFLPA MVP. I doubt anyone else on that list was even nominated, let alone got a vote.

I'd have Walsh, Baz, Bing, Ming, butters, Rozee, Thomas (great end to the season).

Sam Walsh was AA this year, definite number 1.
Ben King is great but there's something weird going on at the Suns.

Given their history, I think it will be weird when something normal happens at the Suns.

Walsh probably deserves number 1. But.... Would anyone here trade B. Smith for Walsh in a straight swap? I wouldn't. No way.
