Great to hear Roarke Smith had a good game. Hope he can continue on with a few more good games for Footscray and build his confidence for possibly his last tilt at senior level.

Thanks Smads. Is Sweet AFL ready?
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Gardner used to be on the Cats right? Remember him kicking a lot of VFL goals, we could do worsee.

Irrespective of how he actually played, seeing Lukas Webb actually play a game of football is cause to celebrate in itself.

I'm so glad we persevered with him.

He's trained with us over the off season and I think he had 3 years at Geelong so he could possibly be a good replacement for Picken at the mid season draft. Given the doubts on Boyd's fitness and that he's also 198cm and mobile he could be a decent fit for us.

Not yet - has some handy skills but a bit slow still. Shows promise at least.

Were any player's game times managed with a view for them in coming on this week against Collingwoood? They must have considered that with only a five day break for the Senior team?

The only player to finish early was Greene at 3/4 time and I believe this would have been to cater for the emergency player role for Sunday’s game.

As it was, this game was played Friday night anyway, so all players will have a 7 day break for the AFL game vs. Collingwood

He was ok - his role/position doesn’t lend itself to a lot of possessions, but he did enough to stay in the frame for a possible AFL call up.
The key will be who the match committee deems needs to go back to the VFL for a spell this week. I believe that will heavily influence who comes up, regardless of form.
