Round 13 – 2019 Footscray Bulldogs v Port Melbourne
Re: Round 13 – 2019 Footscray Bulldogs v Port Melbourne
Just a heads up, there is an open training session in Adelaide tomorrow (Friday) at Prospect oval from 3:45-5pm.
Also, I was in the city tonight checking out the Book of Mormon and on the way home on the drive past the Adelaide Oval they had the ground illuminated Red, White and Blue. I hope it's an omen.
*Oh crap, I’ve just realised that I put this in the wrong game day thread.

Port Melbourne/Port Adelaide, its all good.
I'm guessing the natives are pretty similar. Actually I've been to Port Adelaide market, they are exactly the same.
Oh we've got pintaras with phats, we're covered in tatts. oh yeah, you'll here us when we're coming*
*sung to Port's theme song and thanks to Greg Champion. Like Port Adelaide, Port Melbourne also had a car factory until Joe Hockey decided that we didn't need a manufacturing industry any more.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It won't be like that down at Port Adelaide too much longer, the development is starting to ramp up. I remember even ten or fifteen years ago it used to feel rough as guts, but it has already become quite cool (already some development, pubs have all had updates, lots of new cafes and restaurants, Pirate Life have moved their brewing there, etc.) and started to flip it's image with lot's of family friendly events and even Laneway.

Yeah the inner west of Melbourne is going the same. The house I grew up in (that my parents bought for $14 000 in the mid '70s) is worth a million plus nowadays. The house I bought for $100, 000 in 1997 is worth 1.5 million now because the back yard faces out onto street frontage at the rear. It's unbelievable.

Same here. Was going to make the trip over but the wind would make it a pretty ordinary spectacle. Although the thought of going to Port still tempts me..
