Re: What is the biggest win/loss you have been involved in footy.

I remember beating Mazenod by 248 points in under 13s or 14s. I was playing for the Good Shepherd Brandon Park Football Club Panthers at the time. Score was 252-4 on a really wet day at Columbia Park, and if it was dry I reckon we'd have kicked another ten to fifteen goals.

Playing for an ammos club in the top flight in the early 00s and we were pretty much the worst team to grace the competition in a very long time. We had ourselves handed ten to twelve goal drubbings week in week out. Got relegated, and in the last match of the season did Xavier at Toorak Park (but I was injured and couldn't go down swinging with the rest of the lads).
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

      Not involved in this.

Saw someone post up a result on the Doggies Facebook forum from the EDFL on the weekend.

A huge win for Oak Park and a huge defeat for Jacana.

      Jacana 1.0.6
      Oak Park 54.15.339

As a player, my worst loss was when I was playing for Footscray little league at Moorabbin against St Kilda in 1978. The Saints beat us 15.5.95 to 0.0.0. Young Rod Owen kicked 7 for the Saints.

I never played in a win.

After a little league game at Waverley (across the field, which was a solid 150m at the time - I still can't believe they played the full ground for little league in years prior) where we won and I was in Carlton gear wearing number 31.

I was awarded best on ground and was told I'd progress to the next stage of representative footy. It happened in front of the whole team, and the parents. After about five minutes I got a tap on the shoulder and was told it was actually number three who was going to be selected, one of my oldest friends (as much as that meant at eleven years old), and that I had to give my vouchers back and prepare myself for not being in the representative team.

Imagine doing that to an eleven year old in this day and age.
