Staying or going: The verdict on eight Giants being circled by rival clubs
THE GIANT DECISIONS
Josh Kelly (contracted)
“There has been speculation about Josh Kelly and he might get squeezed out and return to a Melbourne club given that cap squeeze,” Jon Ralph said on Fox Footy.
“I can tell you tonight, he is locked in to the Giants next year.”
Jeremy Cameron (free agent)
“This year Jeremy Cameron seriously in play, it’s GWS or the Cats. My mail is they would’ve dropped him at stages this year if it wasn’t for this list management conundrum,” Ralph said.
“He’s had a 20 ranking point drop and not been dropped. Stephen Coniglio went from an average of a 101 to 98 and he got it in the neck, go figure.”
Aidan Corr (free agent)
“Aidan Corr has already left for North Melbourne although it hasn’t been announced.”
Harry Perryman (out of contract)
Port Adelaide is keen on Perryman, who has starred on the wing this season, according to foxfooty.com.au’s Tom Morris
Zac Williams (out of contract)
“Zac Williams will leave for Carlton or North Melbourne.“
Jackson Hately (out of contract)
“Jackson Hately as a second-year player is being pursued by Adelaide who has the leverage of a pre-season draft pick, No.1, they could get him for nothing if it’s not a later pick.”
Jye Caldwell (out of contract)
“Jye Caldwell. His suitors start at St Kilda and extend to most of the Victorian clubs. He will return to Sydney next week … and make a decision on his future.”
Xavier O’Halloran (out of contract)
Four clubs are eyeing off the former Vic Metro captain according to foxfooty.com.au ’s Tom Morris, with Geelong, Brisbane, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs interested.FFC: Established 1883

Re: Giant Raid
I think this one is a fabrication. A few weeks back Tom Morris was doing a trade Q&A and someone asked if Perryman would be a good fit for Port. He thought Perryman would be a great fit for them. An hour or two later he ran a story that Port were interested in Perryman.Listening to Brahm's 3rd RacketComment

Re: Giant Raid
Pleases me to see the Giants potentially falling and missing their window
Cameron has been ineffective this year - question marks on how much ward and Davis have left - and they likely have no senior ruck options if Mumford retires
They will still trade in picks and have a chance to re load but here’s hoping this is a slide into mediocrityComment

Re: Giant Raid
They have been disappointing on-field this year as much as anyone but I wonder if the arrival of Green and Riccardi together with the late season emergence of Hill are enough to point them towards another 'mini era' of sorts? I think Cameron will leave and am curious about his performances this season...but wonder if that actually HELPS them? What should I tell her? She's going to ask.Comment

Re: Giant Raid
The interesting thing to me about the Giants is that - despite the 'talent' - they still manage to be an actual footy side. Riccardi is (to me) a classic example of this, so is Reid, so is De Boer...they seem to look for "VALUE" on the lists of other clubs/secondary leagues as much as anyone. Why a team that already had Himmelberg, Finlayson and Cameron would want Riccardi remains a bit of a mystery - but at the same time it is as if they are able to 'assign value' to players a pick ones who are 'valuable'.

The constant recycling and topping up will likely mean they never become a team stuck with a bottoming out Dad’s army like Hawthorn, Adelaide at the end of ‘19, and (one can hope) Geelong in the near future.
As you say, Cameron leaving could be brilliant for them (both in salary cap space, a few more talented players coming in and because he has been stinking it up).Comment

I'm glad we are in the mix for O'Halloran
A versatile midfielder, O'Halloran will run out with No.33 on his back - the same number as McCarthy - but his dreams of premiership glory are now orange, charcoal and white rather than red, white and blue.
"My brother did (go up to Sydney for the 2016 prelim) ... I obviously barracked for the Doggies growing up as a kid," O'Halloran said.
"I was very happy that we beat GWS in the 2016 finals. That was a good year.
