You've got to make yourself a hard matchup, if Cody is just a ground level player they will put a quick small on him and he won't touch it. If he can mark the ball then they need someone with height that he can use his evasive skills against
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

We got this previously when Gia was coach. It only stopped last year during the hub

I think it's just surprising that the area of focus for a 177cm small forward/mid is his aerial work, especially considering when he was drafted that was listed as a strength. We seem to want our entire team to be aerial threats, virtually all of our small forwards have "good mark for his size" in their profiles, and i think it's actually an issue that we have so many players that want to fly for the ball and so few that want to stay on the ground.

Based on what I saw last year the areas Weightman needs to work on are his ability to stay involved in the game, ability to find the ball (11 disposals suhggest this still needs work), versatility to not just be an all or nothing forward pocket and especially nuance with his aerial game to know when to fly and when to not (especially in a forwardline containing Naughton, English, Bruce and JUH). If anything I thought the directive would be to fly for less marks, not more.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Not every small fwd can be Liam Ryan. He needs to do the basics right first. Understand his game. Ideally a forward line of Naughton, Bruce and English shouldn’t be out marked. This brings the need for a crumbing forward first and foremost. I understand he needs to have a few strings to his bow, but he’s a developing player and needs to learn the craft of fwd crumbing. I know it’s early, but he’s miles away from Pickett.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Lewis Young named on the field but I doubt very much he misses the senior game.

Cody Raak is also named, would love to see him at VFL level.

Pretty curious to see him named regardless. Like why just him (and Lipinski I guess)?

It's weird, they used to put all the interchange players in the VFL team but it seems like only a few have been named.

Will be good to see Cody Raak to play tonight. 3 x NGA boys in the VFL team. Hopefully we can see all 3 play in the same AFL team one day in the future.

Does anyone know if tonight's match is being shown via youtube link like the Gold coast match was?
I expect Smads and Comrade have made the trip up to the 'Blacktown International'. Just love that name.

It's being shown on Kayo so I doubt there will be a YT stream, Hose.
