    Daniel Talia, Would You?

Daniel Talia is an unrestricted free agent this year.

STAR CROW’S FUTURE UNCERTAIN … BUT HE’D SUIT THE SUNS

Adelaide legend and football director Mark Ricciuto has cast doubt over whether dual All-Australian Daniel Talia will be at the Crows next year.

Talia hasn’t played a game yet in 2021 after suffering several setbacks with a foot injury.

The 29-year-old, who won the 2012 Rising Star and Adelaide’s 2014 best and fairest, is out of contract at season’s end.

Asked on Triple M Adelaide whether Talia would be back at the Crows in 2022, Ricciuto said: “I’m not sure. We’ll see how his foot comes up.

    “He’s uncontracted.”

Former Crows forward Andrew Jarman said Talia would be a great fit at the Gold Coast Suns.

“They need senior players. They don’t need any more young players,” Jarman told Triple M Adelaide.

“Daniel Talia would be the first one on my list.”

After Phonegate, the chances of a Talia gracing our 4 walls are slim to none.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

I spoke to Bevo right after phonegate. I’d say less than none. Look at Damo, Bevo doesn’t forgive those who wish to harm of club and players.

I get that the chances of Talia coming to the Dogs is as likely as me becoming the President of Botswana but the question in the title to this thread is "would you?".

It is a position of need, He is one of the best. He would come free. He will be 30 at the start of next season and should have a few seasons in him. Would you forgive and forget?

He'd be a very good option and I agree with Doc that he fits a need and I suspect he's still got a couple of good seasons in him.
I'm not sure if the story is factual or not but if I strongly believed it was true then no way would I consider him

I'm sure they could move on from it. Water under the bridge and we won the flag the next year.
Time to put on the big boy pants, no way you'd say no to him and he's a solid citizen from all reports.

Agreed, he suits a need. He would walk into our side and instantly make us a better team.

Bevo is the stubborn type though. Even if we recruited him would Bevo play him?

How would Bonts, Wood, Macrae, Wally, Hunter, Daniel & Morris feel?

They all know exactly what happened owing to team meeting about it.

Pass for me. Team harmony is more important.

Long term foot problems are a real red flag. Would have to jump through all medical hoops to consider any player recovering from such injuries.

Big No from me, injuries prone now and would rather someone we could get on the track.
Phonegate is also a huge issue, doesn't sit well with me as a supporter, so I could only imagine how it would sit with the players and staff.

Don't want him anywhere near us. Added to that he's too slow. A Dinosaur, game has passed him.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
