If a mature defender is on the shopping list, I'd much prefer Tarrant than Talia.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Bevo is the stubborn type though. Even if we recruited him would Bevo play him?
Maybe he'd recruit him just so he could never play him.

The chapter in Michael Warner's book The Boys Club includes quotes from Peter Gordon and it makes it pretty clear that he wouldn't be welcome, and that nobody at the Bulldogs accepted the AFL investigation.

What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

How did we find out this had happened? I can't recall that part, did we have a double agent at the Colostrum Crows?

Usually when you're being subversive one of the key pillars to said behaviour is keeping a lid on it.

Didn't one of the Crows players (Cheney?) come forward and blow the whistle?

Yes that's right! He had some Hawks connection with Bevo? Thanks Comrade.

Yeah, the way I recall it is Cheney let it slip to some former Hawks teammates that the Crows had inside info and they tipped off Bevo. AFL investigated and Cheney then backtracked and said he was joking all along.

Of course, Daniel Talia had deleted all evidence (because everyone deletes texts for no reason right?) and Michael Talia had lost his phone completely so the AFL cleared everyone and warned Cheney not to joke around. The end.
