Re: Confirmed Trades 2021
They certainly need to do something, their record is deplorable and they are just treading water.
After all the concessions, handouts and ten years in the competition they have never finish better than 12th.
Stacked up against any start-up club its a very ordinary record to say the least.
There is so only so many times you can go back to the drawing board, AFL should have let Tassie have a team and not this mob.

Re: Confirmed Trades 2021
This is probably one of the quietest trade periods in recent memory. Not just from an "everything happens on the last day" perspective either. There’s just not a lot of player movement this year. Covid uncertainty?Comment

I’m steeling myself for us to finish up the trade period with Tim O’Brien and a bunch of point upgrades. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Re: Confirmed Trades 2021
Apparently most clubs have very little salary cap room and available list spots. Not much room to maneuver so it requires certain deals to get done to enable other deals to flow.Comment

Re: Confirmed Trades 2021
The Western Bulldogs have earned an extra third round selection in the upcoming 2021 NAB AFL Draft in a three-club trade, which sees Lewis Young traded to Carlton.
The Bulldogs obtained selection 52 in the Continental Tyres Trade Period deal, adding to the extra picks obtained in a separate four-way deal with St Kilda, Melbourne and Adelaide on Wednesday.
As part of the arrangement, Carlton traded Sam Petrevski-Seton to West Coast in exchange for pick 52, which was then on-traded to the Dogs to facilitate the trade for Young.
Young played 24 games over five seasons at VU Whitten Oval, after being taken with pick 49 in the 2016 Draft.
“We thank Lewis for his contribution to the Western Bulldogs and wish him all the best for the remainder of his AFL career,” said Bulldogs’ General Manager of List Management and Football Projects, Sam Power.
“We’re pleased to have significantly improved our draft hand at this stage of the trade period, which will give us some flexibility over the next couple of months.”
The Bulldogs now hold selections 23, 44, 45, 52 and 93 for the upcoming Draft, to be held on November 24 and 25.FFC: Established 1883
