Yep, we were already down two rotations due to Smith and Gallagher going off during the 1st half and Crozier had gone off as well. We probably figured that Busslinger wasn't sore enough to justify having no rotations and that hiding him up forward would protect him a little more when the ball had been ping ponging between the forward line and the wing where our defenders had been killing everything.

        My expectations are 6-12.

The club said top 4, we recruited for the now.

It's an interesting season this one.

It's definitely largely based on expectations set by the club.
You just don't bring in 2 x 30yo KPP if you are about to embark on a rebuild and it signaled a top 5 type season or expectation level.
I'm not sure if the mood of WOOF is judged that fairly especially if you visit some other sites but I get some people prefer to vent their frustrations on other supporters as opposed to those supporters who vent on the club or players.

I can't believe flinging a young player forward for a quarter would cause so much angst.

Or possibly I do, because if it didn't happen to Naughton then he'd still be playing back and we wouldn't be having an argument about whether he should play forward or back!

But seriously, footy's supposed to be fun for younger players and being flung forward can be fun! It can also help teach defenders how forwards think and can be great for their development!

Why can't Cleary get an AFL game?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Fair enough, maybe i had lower expectations than most so im not getting that frustrated with this season. Not like Lobb and Jones with gun players coming in for us, more just role ones.

Fair point. We do have a gap for a small defender which he played prior to draft.

Darcy, O?Donnell , Khamis have all been thrown around.

When is the last time we developed a draftee who wasn?t a first rounder? Williams or Daniel?

What are the views of Macpherson? He looks tough, clever in and around the ball, but maybe a tad slow??? I think he's also improved each year - could he step up and become a mature age draft pick in the AFL...

My biggest issue with him is his disposal. He is up hazard about it instead of steading and finding a target. Otherwise he gets a lot of the ball and plays tough like his old man.

Yeah seems to thrive in and on the contest. I like him. Appears a natural player, albeit maybe a tad slow and his disposal not polished enough for AFL level...
