Nothing like playing our young KPD in the Buss up forward. We clearly need him to be more versatile and also make sure we develop Bruce into the defence role. Obviously that would be better for our team going forward.

Sons of the Scray rings out as we have our best performance of the season. Pity about the injuries.

As regular posters know I like Garner. He is a fine player. Ripper game today in tough conditions. Hope a club is thinking of giving him another go at AFL level.

Buss really only spent the last qtr forward.

Just before Buss went fwd I noted he’d hurt himself across half back - at the same time Croz came off to make it 3 injured players on the bench - I suspect that had there been not as many injuries, he may have come off.

Sucks for Roarke that his foot might have flared up, while not a gamewinner he's capable depth and the boys clearly love having him there.

This was clearly Garner’s best game for the season helped by the armchair ride provided by Sweet. He was strong in the tackle
count as well (13). Loved his game Josie.

He's a backman and was drafted as our future in defence. Why are we already experimenting with him? I suspect we wanted a KPF kicking with the wind, so, why not Bruce then?

Buku is shuffled around everywhere at VFL level. Right now it seems like he's being played as a Ruck/Fwd. He'll be put back in defence soon enough.

Everyone says we are struggling with depth, maybe we just can't debelop.

Same with Gallagher. Surely flexibility comes after these youngsters nail down their spot.

Re Buku's ruck role - it is fairly minimal and restricted to when Sweet goes to the bench (around 20 minute mark). Further Sweet will ruck fwd contests (unlike English where Naughton helps out).

Last week (vs Frankston), I felt Buku was unable to get into the game while playing fwd, but when he was allowed to roam around the ground as our second ruck, he benefitted greatly. Today he played well as a fwd and as our second ruck which included following his opposite number into our backline.

I'm not sure what you are concerned with HD - Gallagher has only played VFL on the wing so far (although he was recruited after a strong second half to last season as a HBF). He hasn't been asked to play in multiple positions so far by the MC.
