Croft back forward is interesting looks like a team balance decision, I just think he has to play key defence for the long term.

I suspect that Gardner plays forward and Croft back.
Gards will do some relief ruck work tomorrow night.

Croft probably forward this week because no Smith means we need a backup ruck and our forward line is tiny now.

I'd have Montgomerie on the bench for either Willoughby or Maple.

I want to see Bedendo in the forward line. He looks more at home there.

Looks like Gardner is the first ruck option going by the pre game warm up (versus Lobb). Caleb with the defensive group.

I dunno why they just didn't pay that as down field instead of letting all of the Essendon players have plenty of time to run backwards while Harmes had to run back the ground to take the free.

Just play Lobb as ruck and pinch Gardner. Absolutely ridiculous decision to start him there. Is Smith injured?
