A different and inappropriate way of looking at all this.

If the crows and Lions win this weekend, we will have pick six in the MSD.

As a matter of interest, if you were picking on the basis of the best available, who would we pick?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

A longer term prospect for mine. I don't think we have that player at Footscray who could come in and have immediate impact or fill an immediate need. I wouldn't take someone just for the sake of it

I think it is better to punt on someone, rather than no-one if it came to that.

I would love the idea of putting in a couple of extra players into the Footscray mix if nothing else- I know it is not the priority, but it'd be nice to another flag and surely them winning is a great morale boost for those not getting a game.

I wouldn't take anyone we don't see as a long term prospect.

I've got to admit to being pretty lukewarm on all of the options I've seen suggested so far...

This is true. But what’s also true is the only definite way to not get a good player from the MSD is to not pick anyone.

And there's no harm if we pick someone up for 6 months to have a closer look.

I can't find any names that we've been linked to that provides much interest.

That’s not unusual since Sam Power has been involved in recruiting. I’m really concerned about our backline, with our 2 tall backs last night being 33 and 32. Dureya is 33 too. I’ll take a small or tall back.

Croft is playing forward line atm. No guarantee Busslinger is going to be at the club next year. Jod hasn’t really lived up to the hype either.

For a kid taken from a on-traditional pathway I think he has done fine.....better than fine.

Which have nothing to do with Sam Power and his list management, he's not a coach, what hype on JOD? he's a young lad that has come in and doing ok, Buss may request a trade who knows? But he was the best option key position defender in his draft that Power had a hand in recruiting to fill a need.

Ok it agreed then, the future backline looks great and the four 30yo with JJ will play forever.
Jod was supposed to hold down CHB preseason. That’s hype. He’s form is very iffy.
