Agree that Westy was well, pretty ordinary today however he has to play on Friday night because we know how dangerous he can be, the question is can we trust Lathan's hammy's on the friday night as he does so much running, Jones and Harmes are knocking the door down, and whichever way we go i don't that would the difference between winning or losing the game, tough decision.

Where do woofers see Sanders after his first year? Did he look like a class above today?

Hard to gauge on TV but to me he lacks a bit of pace but down the track a likely Libba replacement. He knows where to put himself and has good awareness of what's around him but I also thought he could have a little more urgency about him. Not a bad 1st year though.

Thanks for the updates. Was out this afternoon. Great win and through to a prelim final. The Scraggers have had a great year and we are a huge chance to win it.

Sanders is fine. If he played behind the ball in a shit team he'd have had 20-25 a week this year at AFL level. Not everyone gets that luxury in their first year though, some get marked to play what's probably one of the hardest roles on the field.

From what I could see on the stream in the second half, they put a lot of work into him around the ball after what was apparently and excellent start to the game.

As an aside, I don't reckon Dom Bedendo is getting a lot of sleep tonight after he lost his mind and tried to knee a ball for goal from twenty five out in the last.

I admire the ambition to demonstrate superior skill, but there's a time and a place.

I think the club have handled him wery well. They gave him a taste early on and then we were in a fortunate position to give him time to go away and learn his trade in the 2's getting him to work on areas that needed to be worked on. As a junior because he was elite he never had to be accountable for an opponent nor do the pressure acts. All he knew was to get the ball and be given the ball. He will be a more rounded player next year.

I believe they aren’t allowed to tag in under 18s so if that’s the case he wouldn’t have been pressured hard in under age .
I think it’s great how the club is doing this ala Jamara.
If your a player who plays in a position of being tagged or heavily defended on you need to learn and build your body.
With players like Freijah they can come straight in as they aren’t tagged but run off.
I am worried Sanders looks a bit slow but if he is in and under and takes a libba type role it’s not a problem.
I see Sanders much like Macrae which does worry me , not saying Macrae isn’t good he is elite reader but not quick and that’s the game now, Hard and fast running.

Agree Ledge. I see Sander’s potential as a (Carlton) Walsh clone, an accumulator and excellent distributor especially by hand and a neat kick. Some of the long hand passes I saw him dish out yesterday were top notch (Libba like vision). I’d love Sanders to become a bit more down and dirty and desperate (more Libba like). I think he has it in him. I have no doubt he will leave no stone unturned to reach his potential. I’ve noticed his tackling has improved and he is more prepared to wear the tackle rather than give off an iffy handball.
                    Josie :)

Very well! How so? Bevo pumped his tires up pre season. For someone that supposed to be advanced he looked overawed at afl level. Looked very vanilla when he played afl. I was happy to hear about his form at VFL for weeks now but little I saw yesterday made me think this guy is our future. Ok he is very young and has time but there are worrying signs.

                        Big decision.
Aside from the goals what has fallen away?

West is in some ways a victim of the high standards he has set during the year. I look at Westy's games from a score involvement/assist basis and I'm inclined to say that the output is still there.

Sure Jones is exciting, but he drifts out of games far too often and cannot impact the way West can. No brainer for me in terms of finals football what I would prefer.

Harmes is a harder question to answer, but for me he replaces Daniel or Macrae.
