That is great news and to think they're both bottom age. Even better news considering the Gold Coast ownership of the next draft.Blimey it's going to be interesting to see what picks we have to give up to obtain these two.

If trade week started tomorrow, i dont think it will be interesting at all.

Rounds pick 1 and 2 - picks 30 and 50 (give or take a few)

So long as we don't loose a marque player, we will be the best placed team to aborb the entrance of the GC17.

Very much a long shot I'm afraid. I've seen a fair bit of him and he is very green with his footy knowledge and skills. I hope he gets another season on the rookie list.

Our NSW junior watchers, haven't got our bargain just yet. I hope they keep trying.

I think it should be either one of Jones or Ogle. Both sound like talented kids, Ogle has some good things. But neither sound like dead certs to ever pay VFL seniors, let alone AFL. With Wallis and Libba coming the year after, they only likely go back even further. I think we could do better than to take them both during the same year before the GC17 draft.

I was always going to be tough for Ogle, given his rugby background.

                Re: TAC Cup 2009

I made the trip down the highway yesterday to watch what I was hoping would be one of the better TAC Cup games for the year.

                Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed.

As has been mentioned previously, I thought our boys started slowly, but worked their way into the game very nicely.

Libba's hands in close were a step above most on the ground - I literally lost count of how many times he was able to free the ball from congestion and release a team mate. He worked particularly well with Wallis (no doubt doing it since they were toddlers).

Wallis continued to shine - the way he moves and finds space is just on a different level. He was one of Calder's prime movers yesterday, with his teammates constantly looking for him to move the ball. He was matched up to Cunnington and Christensen at various times, and was tagged in the second half, but he still managed to sneak forward and kick a couple of goals.

We're extremely lucky to have access to these two - they are genuine footballers and both make excellent decisions.

                What are we getting?

Liberatore is mostly an inside midfielder, but he's good in the air and can have an influence when thrown forward.

Wallis is the ideal midfielder - plays inside and out, loves to run and carry and kicks with precision. He's also very good overhead, and is clever around the goals.

                WOOFers - get excited.

The game itself was a beauty, with the Cannons getting out to a 5 goal lead in the second quarter. It wasn't until Geelong's gun players in Cunnington, Christensen and Rohan got hold of the ball that they managed to get back into the game.

The second half was tightly contested, with Geelong ultimately managing to keep the Cannons at arms length.

I did some filming during the day and I'm currently editing it into a cohesive video - will endeavour to post it as soon as possible.

His kicking is very good, on both sides. I still don't know if he's a natural left or right footer

He was probably credited with a number of ineffective kicks yesterday, because he won a lot of clearances where he just had to bang it forward, rather than hitting up a teammate.

On his spped, he won't be the quickest player in his draft, but he has enough pace to break away from congestion or present as an option up the field.

It's edited and in MP4 format, about 4 and half minutes in total - I'm trying to upload to YouTube without any luck (keeps timing out).

Anyone able to advise how I can upload this beauty direct to WOOF rather than via YouTube?

Updated stats after the weekend's game:

                              <a href="http://s675.photobucket.com/albums/vv120/brettmexico/?action=view&current=taccup4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv120/brettmexico/taccup4.jpg" border="0" alt="tac cup 4"></a>

Wallis' kicking efficiency has gone down over the past few weeks. I believe this can be attributed to playing more of an inside role. On the weekend there were numerous times he found space in the congestion and kicked the ball forward - these would've been classed as ineffective but in reality they were anything but. Against the Falcons he finished with 29 possessions, 6 tackles and 2 goals and was BOG for Calder.

Liberatore has been steadily increasing his average possession total over the last 3 games. His tackling has also been a stand out, statistically. Against the Falcons he finished with 28 possessions, 9 tackles and was in the bests for the 4th game in a row.
