I couldn't find another TAC Cup thread and thought it might be interesting to keep tabs on our potential father/son picks, and also our NSW rookies.

Today's game between Calder and NSW Rams which featured Tom Liberatore and Mitch Wallis. Can anyone confirm that Braedon Jones played for the Rams?

Didn't he train with with the Dogs last year as part of the AIS program? Is he key position or midfield?

Apparently, Liberatore was really good around the clearances, particularly in the second half, though his kicking was a little sketchy at times. Sounds familiar.

Of Wallis, apparently he was pretty good also, with his ball use a stand out - had a few nice long kicks that really impressed.

Happy Days went down for a look and was good enough to write up a report:

Went to watch the Oakleigh vs Calder game today. Firstly, Wallis looks a serious player. He had alot of the ball, his hands looked clean, and he worked both inside and outside. Spent a bit of time forward, but was predominantly played in the middle, before coming off for a rest with 5 minutes to go in the 4th.

Liberatore was also very impressive, both as an in and under midfielder (he won several clearances), but also as a forward, where he kicked two very nice goals, most impressive was a set shot from 50m comfortably making the distance.

We might be on to something here.

Goals and Bests every week. Every week.

I am to the point of getting some 'movement' i'm that excited. Two kids who plai in and out in the midfield, have high effeciency rates and kick goals and we can pick them up for next to nothing in a very compromised draft.

Awesome to think of the very senior midfield of Boyd, Cross and very experienced blokes like Griff Coons, Higgo and then up and comers like Reid, Wood/O'Keefe'Stack and then pups like Wallis and Libba being blooded. Just awesome to think about it. Now the backs seem to be covered for depth, now for the young talls to start bearing fruit.

I'm doing the road trip next Saturday to watch the Falcons play the Cannons at Skilled Stadium - the last TAC Cup round that will feature all the gun private school players before they go back to the school teams.

It's going to be a veritable feast of junior footy for ol' comrade, with the following players to look out for on both sides:

Ledin

Talia
Melksham
Ezard
Prestia
Duhau

Oh, and a couple of handy types named Wallis and Liberatore.
