He'll take longer but seeing the pressure he puts on himself in games to me shows he is keen to work hard & improve. Definately needs a big pre-season though.
Agreed. You can often see him wanting to do more but his fitness just isn't up to it although from what I have seen he is far fitter now than he was at the start of the season.

A solid pre-season will set him up nicely for a good 2010.

He manages to actually lead twice at times, which was my biggest criticism at the start of the year (and his debut game) - he'd lead once and that'd be it. All the top forwards will lead, double back wanting the ball, lead again - I think he knows where he needs to get to.

Is he being played at CHF to build his fitness?

Could this type of specialised training be an option and benefit Jarrad?
I was calling for Hall to be appointed as coach as soon as he retired for the year for this specific reason.

Bring in Hall as a player. Then Grant can see the intensity, speed and strength that is needed to be a champion like Hally. Remeber Hall kicked 5 goals in the losing granny against Sydeny when he was playing against st kilda, and the great run he had at Sydney.

The Tall guys would benefit from his experience. Hopefully, they can gain from him, like how Aker contributes to the club. I remember listening to a game last year where he kicked 6 goals, and Luke Darcy was saying how he takes training drills in the forward line.
