No link, but from today's Herald Sun:
The AFL has brought forward the 2009 National Draft to November 26 (Thursday) & given Foxtel permission for an NFL-style countdown.
The league has traditionally held its annual player draft early on a Saturday morning to allow maximum exposure.
Under the plan the first 10 picks of the draft would be held behind closed doors, before being counted down publicly from ten to one.
Several networks have previously televised the draft, but it has never been a ratings winner.
The draft was originally to be held on Saturday November 28.
