Well, i don't know much about many of the kids this year, but just going on various opinions, seems a good fit.
That said, he probably won't fall down to our selection, but funny things happen come draft day, Shannon Hurn was always seen as top 5, dropped to the teens, Selwood should never have dropped to 7, same with Rich who was always rated top 3 leading up to the draft.
Then we had the likes of Cleve Hughes & Erik Mckenzie who many had pencilled down for our picks 11 in 2005/2006, we ended up with Everitt who was seen more as a 2nd round pick, and Higgins who Clayton was doing cartwheels over after he fell in our lap.
The top 3 or 4 seem to be locked in, but after that, you just never know!
Emma Quayle on SEN just mentioned we are interested in Ben Griffiths & Andrew Moore and a chance Lucas could fall to us.
Physically Griffiths seems like a good fit for us but he just hasn't impressed me the times that I have seen him. I wonder if at 198cm he's actually too big to be a key forward.

I like the versatility that Moore offers - he's just about guaranteed to be a solid AFL player which is tempting for a late first rounder.
At this stage, Griffiths is a genuine stay at home power forward that we lack in the talls coming through (hopefully he stops growing so he doesn't get so tall that it affects his mobility). He's a risky pick that could pay off in spades in a couple of years, but personally I want a player who can have an impact next year.
Lucas would be a dream result, but I can see Adelaide or Sydney snapping him up if he slips.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

So, is Griffiths your pick?

Quayle's mail is usually pretty accurate and Moore would be appealing to us. It makes sense and I am sure he'll be in the mix. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Moore became a little bit of a bolter and went at 12 or possibly earlier. Seems to have a good set of tools to make it.
Lucas is becoming an interesting prospect. He was rated in the top 6-7 about a month ago but he's slowly being overtaken by Jetta, Melksham and a couple of others. If the Eagles pass, I think he could slip. Melbourne and Carlton don't require midfielders so it probably comes down to Essendon, Adelaide and Sydney. It's hard to see him slip further than that.
The club must not be convinced in Grant to consider Griffiths, either. Perhaps they see Grant as more of a second foil?
We should secure a solid player at 15 but IMO Essendon/Melbourne/Carlton have the perfect chance to snap up a slider.
