I agree that the article is a joke, but the SANFL premier only a mid-range VFL team? Ha!
I know there are a lot of arguments about second strongest league in the country, but even if that honour did fall to the VFL (which viewing both leagues over the course of '09 I definitely wouldn't agree with) it wouldn't be so strong that the top few SANFL teams were only mid-range.
Maybe they should bring back the old VFL Premier vs SANFL premier format at the end of the year
