Will he excel at AFL Level: Who knows.

If he can hold his life together off-field and remains injury free, he will win multiple Brownlow medals. If not, he might not even play a game.

Most talented kid I have ever had (and that includes Morabito).
          Wow, that is massive praise.

Does he work hard enough? (based on all 18 year old kids)

Also on a side note is the feedback mainly positive about Brad Wira and his coaching ability?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Brad is a good bloke and seems pretty clever.

Another Norwood boy playing for SA, Mitchell Grigg, is eligible for GWS and looks likely to end up there as he's not eligible for the ND this year.

I'm sure T&T can tell you more about some of the Glenelg players.

              From Glenelg:

Pat McCarthy, Seb Tape will likely be top 20 draftees.
Others to watch for are Matt Snook, Darcy Armfield, Ben McIntyre, Brad Agnew
Lewis Hender will likely go GWS as a young one.

                    Too late.

He had 17 running bounces in one game of footy on the weekend...and this wasn't 'take the ball in 50m of space, have 5 bounces' stuff - it was 'win the ball in a contest, put on the after burners and run away from everyone'...

                    Unbelievable.

Out of interest, do you know why he wasn't part of the WA squad? 17 running bounces is a massive tally.

Bottom aged players rarely get a look in over here - you have to have been outstanding at u16's level to get a go.

Much like Harley Bennell last year, this boy wasn't even selected in the WA u16's squad.

Here's an article about Sam Reid's younger brother Ben.

                          Reid's hat-trick leads the way

Echuca footballer Ben Reid had a strong showing in the NSW/ACT Rams team at the NAB AFL under 18 championships against Vic Country at Blacktown Olympic Park on Sunday.
Despite the 66-point defeat, Reid stood tall for the Rams to kick three _ of the Rams' six goals _ and was named third best for the side.

In windy conditions, the Rams played fluent football at times, often running the ball out of defence to their forward 50m, but could not sustain the pressure for all the contest.

Vic Country looks like the team to beat after defeating Vic Metro and the Rams in its first two matches.

North Albury's Anthony Miles again starred for the home side to gather 28 disposals, including eight clearances.

The side will be keen to knock over Queensland in round three of the championships on June 19.

                          Final score: Vic Country 16.9 (105) d NSW/ACT Rams 6.3 (39).

Best: Tim Segrave, Anthony Miles, Ben Reid, James Brian, Josh Bruce, Jack Mahony.

Goals: Ben Reid 3, Josh Bruce, Wade Hancock, Sam Martyn
                          The curse is dead.

T&T, you going to head down to Norwood this weekend for a look? I'm thinking I'll drag myself out of bed for it.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

                              Definitely going.

I'll be the only bloke with a Bullgogs cap (or maybe Glenelg...) and a Camera.

If the Bulldogs form is giving you the blues, at least we've got this to look forward to:

Under 18s - how they rank

To assist fans in understanding the potential of this year’s draft crop, Champion Data has applied the same ranking system it uses at AFL level to assess players in this season’s NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.

Here are the leading players from each team, based on the Champion Data ratings.

                                Mitch Wallis, Vic Metro
                                Medium midfielder
                                Average points: 132
                                Average disposals: 28.5
                                Goals: 2

Sheehan: “Has won the contested ball and clearances as well as providing terrific run to receive for his team in both games. Courageous and smart user of the ball with hand and foot.”
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
