I still find it strange if Higgins plays in a QF in the VFL and not against Essendon. Anyway we will see what happens on the weekend and whether there is a late change.

Port might actually bring more intensity than Essendon

Pleasantly suprised to see Boumann named in the starting 18. Fingers crossed he has a solid finals campaign.

      Come on Willy!
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

This ^^^^. Its almost like they have some small doubt that he may break down otherwise why would he not play against Essendon? The result of the game tomorrow night is really irrelevant, lets see how his body copes at AFL level.

And at CHF! I'm pretty sure he's been a defender all year.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Im much the same surprised to see him in the starting 18. He needs to have a solid finals series to lay the foundations for a sold preseason with the intention of playing seniors early in 2011. Time is running out for him. Needs to attack the ball more ferociously IMHO.

I think you answered your own question.

The Essendon game will be an un-contested free for all.
We'll have players like Eagleton lining up for easy kicks and the rest of them playing touch football.

The Port game will be a slog out at windy cold Box Hill with 2 arch rivals going at it in a final.

Recovering from a calf injury as well he is more likely to hurt it on the un-forgiving Etihad grass than on a boggy Box Hill reserve. He will also do plenty more burst running on that ground.

I think it's a smart decision. No point taking any further risks.

I don't believe Boumann has set the world on fire at CHF in the 2's (the Willy watchers can confirm). Boumann to CHB or FB might be the logical choice, with Tiller or Markovic to CHF. At least Peter German has options available.

Very good points might get a tougher hitout against the mighty Borough

Looking forward to a good showing. Just finished cutting my stencils for..... today. Go Seagulls!! A rampaging Rose, a mashing Minson, a heroic Howard and a super Hooper will certainly get my day rocking!!

Gee that's a strong forward line. 5 listed players and the other will probably be drafted next year
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Good to see Tiller back, and also good to see Howard getting some VFL finals experience. He's done fairly well to play out the season given his lack of conditioning and hopefully it holds him in good stead for the coming summer.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Read in the bulldog magazine that Eade expects Howard and Tutt to play seniors (WB) next year.
