Lukey Dal reminds me of that little kid you had in your team as a junior who'd always end up with mud and shit all over him at the end of the game, maybe a few broken teeth, then just laugh it off afterwards, with a crazed look in his eye.

Hard to see him not get a spot at the draft. So much upside so far.

If the dogs keep losing it wouldn't surprise me to see Dahlhaus, Schofield in the team. They may be young and lightly built but at least though have some spirit and determination. Something the seniors aren't showing too much off at the moment.

I've seen Dahlaus play on 5 occasions and has really impressed me. Of all the players not playing seniors I think he is pick of the punch. He also is the kind of player we need, someone that shows determination for 100% of the game. I think if he wasn't a rookie Eade would have given him a go before the like of Wallis and Skinner.

Having watched a replay of the Williamstown game
Addison - got plenty of it and very good one on one BOG for mine
Dalhaus - exciting and has a real go and is creative- hopefully his form holds up for when he can be elevated.
Djerrkura - certainly has speed but I remain unconvinced. Does not seem to know what to do when he gets the ball.
Barlow - was pretty good playing forward and rucked OK. May be the second ruck option that everyone seems to want, but lacks aggression. Also needs elevation.
Hargrave - Showed Class - may need another week or so but will be important addition
Mulligan - I thought he defended well with good spoiling, but needs to add some positive elements. At the moment he is a bit like Cam Wight was in the VFL.
Reid - got involved in the play and looked good
Tutt - thought he looked good providing plenty of run and ball use was good
          Hooper - didn't do a lot
Panos - played well -has good hands and gave off a couple with good team play.

Roughead and Schofield had moments but did not do enough to warrant promotion and Cordy also was ok

Lake took some marks forward in the 3rd quarter but did not do anywhere near enough for a player of his calibre. His goal kicking is atrocious with 2 from 5 set shots.

I hope even with this influx of cash the AFL retains the Rookie list, as it seems to make players hungrier to succseed.

I think it will go and we will just have extra on the main list without all the current rules etc.
Supplementary players that can be used as required.

Thought I'd add this depsite this now being two week old news. After the third quarter the forwards coach first words to Brian Lake were "F*&cking" outstanding Brian!!!' as he went around the sircle of forwards. Yes his third quater was quite a beauty. That's the one thing of many that I love about VFL. So up close and personal to the players. I'll stop now though before ai rant too much.
