The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Hill still not keen on the hard stuff though.

It was mentioned on BF that he did a school visit after Eade's departure and said he and Rocket didn't see eye to eye and was hopeful of turning his career around.

Might have let his run too late at our club.

Gilbee was a bit still, seemed every time he got it, we scored.
Johannisen didn't look to bad either. Not expecting anything soon, but he was alright

Hill was good too. Got better as he went. Looked like used to look albeit with poor opposition.

Johannisen looked smooth and good finisher.

                Sam Reid skills stinky.

Hard to read much into it - Hawks were very bad and we had 4 highly experienced AFL players in Gilbee, Hahn, Hudson and Minson

Added to that the Willi senior players in Johnson, Stretton, Jolley, Davies etc are miles better than there Box Hill equivalents.

Do we have to go with the 14-8 spilt for the finals? Here's a possibly Willy 22 once the Dogs are finished up

                    B Stretton, Markovic, Schofield

                    HB Stack, Cordy, Gilbee

                    C Howard, Liberatore, Djerkkura

                    HF Goodes, Barlow, Dahlhaus

                    F Hahn, Grant, Vezspremi

                    R Minson, Jolley, Johnson

Int Roughead Davis Rampe Wallis Tutt

That's 14 Dogs in my starting 18. I know the bench guys count towards the spilt too of course but just shows how many guys we have available for Willy during the finals.

I would think the new coach would like to retain Hill and see if he can recapture the form of a few seasons ago. I think Eade going will save him for another season. The older guys are in more trouble I think

Shaggy, Gilbee and Minson. Even if they are contracted, they are going to struggle to get back into the 22.

We'll just delist. Who cares about the $s and just play 20K rookies. With the other 5 or 6 that deserve to be delisted, it will be ok.

With the 2 veterans will their full salary have to go against the salary cap if they are paid out a year early?
I think it's different if they retire.

Sorry GVG, I didn't mean delist them, I just meant they will probably spend the vast majority of the year at Willy. If we are going to pay them we might as well have them as back up. They have been great servants too.
