Excellent well done Willy. Panos needs to be elevated.

Panos really seems the type that doesn't need to get it much at all to create some damage. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

        How's his defensive pressure?

I would think he was send down back to work on his defensive pressure. I am confident Panos will do everything possible to make it.

How Tall? Has to be elevated.
Might get a 5 year contract now.

192cm. If we feel as though we can keep improving his mobility then he could very well be in line for a promotion to the senior list.

No. As long as we promote him.

Panos was as clean by hand (marking) and foot today as anyone in conditions where many appeared to struggle with although Gilbee's long kicking efficiency by foot did stand out. On this point would've hoped for more from Howard. He needs to start backing himself, like Gilbee does, with penetrating kicks to target and minimise these little chip kicks that he tends to overdo.

Minson was outstanding in probably his best ever game at the club. if you were picking the team now for the first game in 2012, he would be in the first ruck. Djeerkura was outstanding and since playing well recently in the seniors continues to grow in confidence and should become a regular next year. The other highlight was the performance of Matthew Panos at CHF with 5 goals in a classy performance.

I think he could knock back a promotion if he wanted to and then could enter the draft. Very unlikely that he would knock it back though.

Re: Williamstown to tackle North Ballarat in a qualifying final at Box Hill

My thoughts on today, although i missed most of the first quarter due to the fiasco with my dog.

Hahn- battled manfully, finished with 3 goals and was a good contributor.

Gilbee- fairly quiet but when he did get the ball his kicking stood out. Kicked a lovely long goal late in the game

Stack- got better as the game went on, played across halfback and was one of Willi's better players.

Hill- like Stack got better as the game went on, but overall not a great game.

Addison- attacked the ball well, won quite a bit of it through the middle, and was one of the better players.

Skinner- Played as the deep forward most of the second half, had a lot of ball directed at him but was ineffectual. Finished with 2 goals but was pretty poor.

                            Minson- BOG

Howard- a bit disappointing, didn't get a lot of the ball and was hesitant with his disposal. Kicked a nice 55m goal in the 3rd quarter.

Mulligan- Struggled pretty badly, poor with ball in hand. Think he'll be moved on at years end.

Djerkurra- Excellent in the first half, a little quieter in the second half but overall a good game.

Johanissen- Showed some good pace and some run and carry, worth a second year as a rookie.

Hooper- Quiet first half, lively in the second up forward but didn't make NB pay. Is just a solid VFL player for me, very few tricks and seems to lack agility for somene so small.

Panos- Outstanding, played full forward in the first half and his one grab marking and set shot goal kicking was a highlight, played CHF in the second half and provided a consistent target and took some good marks.

Hahn- battled manfully, finished with 3 goals and was a good contributor. Struggled to get into the game early

Gilbee- fairly quiet but when he did get the ball his kicking stood out. Kicked a lovely long goal late in the game Magnificent kicking and general ball use even by hand. Was not in the play as much as we would maybe like to see but quality was evident. Also was very attentive and instructive with other players.

Stack- got better as the game went on, played across halfback and was one of Willi's better players. Was a very good player and was certainly in the best 5 on the ground in my view. Terrific run although did occasionally let himself down with disposal

Hill- like Stack got better as the game went on, but overall not a great game. Good contributor but not a player who will turn games. Didn't show me that he should be retained

Addison- attacked the ball well, won quite a bit of it through the middle, and was one of the better players. Agree that he contributed well, but he is increasingly looking like the good average player that sit on the fringes.

Skinner- Played as the deep forward most of the second half, had a lot of ball directed at him but was ineffectual. Finished with 2 goals but was pretty poor. Agree that he struggled to impact, but did show some encouraging signs. Needs to show that he wants to be a footballer. Would expect him to drop out for Roughy in the VFL prelim

Minson- BOG Showed that he is above VFL standard ruckmen and stayed on the ground until 10 mins into the last quarter before he was interchanged and then only for 5 min. Dominated in the 2nd to get Willi right on top. Agree that he was BOG

Howard- a bit disappointing, didn't get a lot of the ball and was hesitant with his disposal. Kicked a nice 55m goal in the 3rd quarter. Howard was just OK and Tutt looks to have moved ahead. Probably needs to be better one on one

Mulligan- Struggled pretty badly, poor with ball in hand. Think he'll be moved on at years end. Thought Mulligan was ok with a good ability to spoil and then took a few marks in the second half. Did get badly out positioned by a smaller opponent early

Djerkurra- Excellent in the first half, a little quieter in the second half but overall a good game. Good run and energy although his ball handling needs to be cleaner still

Johanissen- Showed some good pace and some run and carry, worth a second year as a rookie. I like the look of him as he has good pace and has a go and appears worth perservering with

Hooper- Quiet first half, lively in the second up forward but didn't make NB pay. Is just a solid VFL player for me, very few tricks and seems to lack agility for somene so small. Contributed well in the 3rd but question marks remain about what he offers

Panos- Outstanding, played full forward in the first half and his one grab marking and set shot goal kicking was a highlight, played CHF in the second half and provided a consistent target and took some good marks. Terrific game by Panos who is safe with his hands and reliable with his kicking. Agree that he should be elevated
Also got to the game and was the first Willi game I have seen for the year. Have added my comments in bold. Apart from the Bulldog players Davies was outstanding. Impressed with the size of Frost, although he didn't have a standout game.

Heard Dahlhaus say that 5 players from Saturdays team will now train with Willi, so they will get stronger for next week.
