    Good on him.
Thought the same. Don't hit the panic button he'll be good.
Thought Tutt was very good early
    Howard was very good
    Minson monstered them
Panos was good in the 1st half
Werribee flooded after half time, made it hard for key forwards
Going to be a beauty next week

MJP, do you see Hartigan as being significantly different to Markovic?
To me they seem quite similar types - good bodywork, questions with pace on a fast lead.

Worth a rookie spot surely, Brad Mangan looked better though. He's improved a great deal since I last saw him, shut Hahn right out of the game and Fevola last week.

          I believe it is.

Probably doesn't look it but i've tried slotting some torps from there many a time and it still feels like 50.

            Seagulls through to Grand Final

Williamstown has booked a date in the 2011 VFL Grand Final against Port Melbourne after comprehensively beating local rivals Werribee by 83 points. Williamstown continued their dominance over their western suburbs rivals winning their 7 th straight game and dominating the match from pillar to post.

Much has been made of Williamstown’s previous preliminary final failures but these doubts were put to rest early on with Williamstown kicking the first 8 goals of the game to lead by 50 points early in the second quarter. Captain Brett Johnson returning from injury set the tone with the opening goal as Williamstown dominated the stoppages early to gain momentum.

Will Minson was a dominant force in the ruck, picking up 17 possessions as well as 40 hitouts to supply the likes of Johnson, Jolley, Goodes, Howard, Tutt and Wallis. He was ably supported by Jordan Roughead who kicked 3 goals whilst forward and collected 21 hitouts of his own.

Brett Goodes showed why he has a reputation as a big game performer with a best on ground performance. Goodes was prolific with his contested football and ball winning ability, continuing to feed the likes of Josh Hill, Ben Davies and Dylan Addison from stoppages.

Werribee finally hit the scoreboard in the second quarter registering back to back goals, but a free flowing game also allowed the Seagulls to kick 8 goals for the quarter to extend their lead to 51 points in front of a big crowd at TEAC Oval. The likes of Sam Reid, Matthew Cravino and Matthew Panos had the big crowd cheering, as the unpredictability of the Gulls forward line allowed 13 different names to get on the scoreboard.

With the game all but won at half time senior Coach Peter German urged his players to stick to their guns and finish off the game full of running. The third quarter saw the margin extend further to 65 points at the final change with Josh Hill prolific in providing run from defence, highlighted by a dashing run from his defensive 50 to kick truly. David Stretton was once again performing an outstanding job on the dangerous Robert Castello and kept him out of the action for the majority of the contest. Sam Reid’s monster 70 metre goal had the Seagulls faithful cheering, as everything he touched turned to gold up forward.

As expected the game petered out in the last, but not before Sam Reid had kicked his 5 th goal to lead the way on the goal kickers list. He was ably supported by Roughead and Hooper with 3 goals apiece. The Seagulls finished off 83 point winners and with a clean bill of health. A much tougher assignment awaits against the undefeated Port Melbourne in the Grand Final this Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

Traditional rivals Williamstown and Port Melbourne will both be shooting for their 16 th premiership, with Williamstown looking for their first since 2003. The Seagulls will go into the match as the underdogs coming up against a side that hasn’t lost a game for the year. The match promises to be a terrific contest with a big crowd expected at Etihad Stadium this Sunday.

I don't get an opportunity to watch Willy very often - so haven't really seen much of Panos.
Must say, I was impressed, and hope he is considered a chance to be elevated onto the Bulldogs list.
Appears to some pretty handy tools. The timing of his leads was good, has good hands and terrific set shot (from what I saw).

Hopefully we can make a leading forward out of him.
