Goal on the siren but the dogs are in real trouble 24 points down.

Eagles are playing good hard finals footyand the forward line personell shortages telling for the dogs.

Four goals down into a stiffening breeze but these dogs don't give up easily.

Great grand final. Full credit to the eagles, 3 point victors. Great comeback by the dogs but not quite enough. Pretty well umpired too.
Sanfl is a damn good league to watch.

Oh well, as meatloaf should have said, 9 out of 12 ain't bad.

Some good young players coming through, Redden from the eagles should be playing some games for the power next year.

Went along and it was a great game, the Eagles had control for longer periods but the Dogs were very damaging in bursts. Was very telling that almost every time Centrals started asserting their dominance the Eagles were able to steady with one against the flow.

In the end it came down to a kick out of the pack from a ball up 15m out with about 5 seconds to go. Where I was sitting everyone went up thinking it was a goal, but it missed by about a metre and the Eagles held on. Thrilling finish to an epic Grand Final.
