      What's the bet Clay Smith get's the number 8.
      He wore #8 at vic metro, he's tough as nails, he gets first pick at a number i'd say he'll take the hard nut number.

      His video highlights are interesting. Kicking doesn't seem to be his strong point or perhaps tackling his such a highlight that that is all they show.
      You can only see him kicking the ball straight (non snap) on about 2 occasions.

          Coaches = yes.

          Recruiters = probably a no.

            Couldn't see him. Couldn't see Bolger, Boseley or Frost either.

              Frost didn't get drafted either.

              Interesting the divide between coaches/recruiters. Surely the recruiter knows more..

                Which is another debate all together. From my limited understanding Eade let the recruiters take who they wanted.

                A poster (mjp?) mentioned sometime ago that Eade had worked very closely with the recruiters identifying what type of players they wanted this draft.

                Could it be possible the McCartney has a totally different vision all together, hence why he put more of his "stamp" on this draft?
                More of an In Bruges guy?

                  Just watching the draft again and they had the top 10 on stage, Johnathon Patton is a monster, reminds me of johnathon Brown.

                            It's going to take him some time in my opinion. He will get more chances than Tom Hawkins did but his form will fluctuate.

                              I have never seen Patton play it was just a feeling, but i did see Hawkins and from day one never thought he would really make it just too slow, turning circle of a Camry.
