Menzal and Stringer would be nice. If only we rookied Shaw at the end of last year.

If GWS & GC don't bid & a team at say 6th pick bids, then Melbourne can snare Viney with pick 13, their next available pick.
At the risk of getting bitten on the bum because we all know it's generally a bad idea to argue with you, Baz, but you got this one wrong.

Only standard picks count. In your example, if GCS & GWS didn't bid for Viney Melbourne would be able to use their 2nd round pick - about pick 25 this year!

That's just as big a bargain as Daniher to Essendon.

Sockeye, have I missed something? I just looked at the list of clubs & saw Melbourne at pick 13. Didn't realise it was anything different. What is a 'standard' pick as opposed to one that isn't? I'm sure I'm missing something.

OK, I get it, picks 4 & 13 are the compo picks for Scully right? then yes, you're correct as they aren't taken into account for F/S bidding.

I cant see us winning another game this season

With any luck we'll finish below both Port and Melbourne - should make the job easier for our recruiters

Port have very winnable games against the Dess, GWS & GC

The Dees play Gold Coast, GWS & Port - if they win all 3 their points will be level with ours - but we need to remember they are tankers

Hate to say it but I hope they end up in front of us too.

Would really like Toumpas in the side.

Standard pick doesn't include compensation picks and it's the pick you receive based on where you finish on the ladder. I'm pretty sure it has to be a natural draft pick but now you have inserted some level of doubt
