They've got Port Melbourne envy. Seems they're blaming The Dogs for their fall this year!
Imagine what they'd think if we do a "Melbourne"( pull out players before Casey's finals campaign)

But we have pulled players out throughout they year which may deny Willi the chance to even make the finals.

I think Williamstown is dreaming a little to go it alone. I for one wont go. They have some loyal fans but not in the Port league. It's not like the 70s when Sunday was reserved for VFA.

I understand they want to win premierships but without an AFL alignment they wouldnt exist.

I hope we can keep the alignment but we have been a poor partner this year and I can understand why Williamstown would be annoyed and considering other options.

I would still try and get to Seagull games next year and beyond because they have done their best to make it work.

It's a no win situation for either party, so hence the difficulty of an alignment .
It's a combination of Willi losing senior players and us being weaker.

The strength of our AFL side has very little to do with it. We are making players unavailable to our feeder team which in turn destroys their chances of success. Affiliate or not they are a seperate club to us and want to succeed on the field. A lot of the VFL experts had the Guls as the favorite this season, the way Macca is going he'll drag Willy out of the finals picture altogether.

I doubt it. More likely the number of players being rested.
