I'd give him a game in the last couple just to see where he is at. Deserving or not.

Did Roberts play seniors? I really want to see him in the AFL for the last month of the year. If he can turn into an AFL player and somehow get Williams on the park our spine would look much better.

I was surprised at the calls for stringer to come straight back in last week. I'd nearly put him on ice for the year with a rest prior to a big preseason in mind. Fitness not up to VFL standard due to his leg issue hence we need to give him every chance to build a tank as we already know what the kid is capable of.

If any of us looked at Stringer this year and thought he looked lean enough to play AFL seniors consistently, or VFL seniors for that matter I'd hate to know how we'd all underestimate our own body issues when looking in a retail outlet changing mirror!

He's just about the right weight. He just needs to lose the bad stuff and put on the good stuff, and this is something that's been obvious since he came to the club.

I suppose that forms part of the reason why I'm so excited about him as a prospect. He's shown considerable dash and muscular power at the senior level already, but can't sustain it for second and third efforts or across a game. You only have to see AFL players in public these days to realise how lean they actually are compared to what they look like on TV. Stringer at this point looks like a fit club footballer.
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Dustin Martin had similar issues a year or two back.
It effects his second and third efforts which he has struggled with.
That was the part of his game he stood out in his first NAB cup game.
If Jake gets anywhere near elite fitness his upside is going to be enormous.

It was freezing and the football did not inspire much, especially in the first half.
Missed the Frankston supporter group with their drums and trumpets as it would have made it more entertaining.

Roberts did little at full-forward but when at full-back or thereabouts, where he was for most of the last three quarters, he performed better. Stringer was better at full-forward, although he missed shots as well. Not as bad as Veszpremi who kicked 1.7, although most of them were snaps. Howard did not play, so he might be called up today. Jong did not play either but may be injured or have the 'flu' etc

Jong and Greenwood played in the development game.

Most likely the emergency or 23rd player.

Rumours of a late change for us but I didn't think Howard was in the mix

Great effort to have 8 shots at goal.

Howard was definitely the game day emergency. ~
