    Pick 4 and Libba...no
    Pick 4 and Wallis...perhaps (reluctantly)
Pick 4 and Wood and Picken...definitely
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

I think 20 still has some value. Late 20's not really excited. But 1 and 20 for 4 and players. Yes, the only sticking point is the players.

First of all Wally is a son of the scary so 'no'.

And in terms of benefits to the team, is wally can continue his career the way he finished last season, racking up touches and beating a gun opponent into submission... he is a particularly valuable player.

I mean, Picken 2/3rds of the time can restrict his opponent to half their normal output, but in doing so he gives us virtually nothing offensively. Wally is doing Pickens job and giving us 15-20 odd useful disposals and a goal now and then. He was pantsing those guys.

So what do GWS need? They don't need mids, they dont need forwards so just backmen? If anything they need leadership

Not knowing much about the potential players in the draft, I think we might be overrating pick one here. Even if it were an exact science and we were guaranteed to get the best player in the draft you're looking at trading one very good, possibly elite player like Liberatore and what should be a good to excellent player at pick 4.

Looking past the father son aspect, we don't know how good pick one will be and he may end up being worse than Libba, so if that's to kind of deal we'd have to make, I'd not bother.

Jordan Roughead offers a smart defensive player and leadership.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Might explain why the Crameri deal hasn't gone through yet when a better pick doesn't hold much value either.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Pick 4 and Wallis I would do in theory, but I wouldn't do because it's Wallis (unless in the unlikely event he wanted to go)

Libba is worth pick #1 in his own right. He's better than any of the last 5 #1 selections.

                        Pick 4 & Clay Smith?
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

This was my thought as well as it will give them the hard inside mongrel that they lack with only Ward really filling that role.

Clay showed some good signs before his reco but he was what - pick 17 or something? The reco has probably put him much further back than this. I don't think GWS would do it, I'm not sure I would either but I love him too much and think he will be a very good player for us. I actually think Clay is the exact type of player you need in a big final.

I'm really hesitant to break up the brat pack (i.e. any of our players under 23) as I feel that it's important to get the list right and keep it together. I'd rather trust in Macca to know what that list should look like and build a great team rather than a team of great individuals. We keep our kids and draft again (Aish / Scharenberg) and then we keep our list together for a crack at the top 4 in 2-3 years.

I see the obvious attraction in Boyd but I still think that Jones / Roberts will make it and provide the forward target(s) that we need going forward.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Apparently Collingwood are keen on Freeman, and they are trying to swap first round picks and second round picks with West Coast.

If Pies end up with pick 6, pick 11, Adams and White they have done very well.

I would go a step further and say that the only player who may be as good since Cooney (2003) is Marc Murphy. So better than any pick 1 over the last 10 years.
