    Re: Media Phantom Drafts

I never thought I'd be so interested in draft however those of you who are regular WOOFERS have got me hooked. It's a mix of voodoo, science, statistics and gambling - a heady mix indeed.

This is from Justin Bertuleit (@Justinbertuleit – Twitter).

Welcome your thoughts on these, especially if you know more than the spiel in media and inside football magazine. Looks like Justin thinks we will look for talls after pick 4. A few Tassie boys too - fantastic. Different thread, however I think it would be ok to play a few games down there to build supporter & finance base.

    Western Bulldogs:

Pick 4: Aish, Koladjashnij, Kelly, Billings

Pick 42: Apeness, Nankervis, Hourigan, Thorp

Pick 60: Wilson, Pearce, Pickess, Willsmore
    Josie :)

    Our day will come
    And we'll have everything.
    We'll share the joy
    Just like '54 again.

I'd be happy with Hourigan at 42. He's a bit doughy which obviously makes you question his discipline, but he's also good at football.

Guys from SA, is this a good line of thinking?

Gotta say I thought Hourigan was impressive.
He needs AFL level fitness, but he was on the end of everything in the Aish package.
Massively impressed with Aish , and Two highlights of backing back into play in a SANFL game stood out.

He also looked great in the Carnival; playing as a mid sized forward, so you HAVE to know the McCartney's would be interested.

Seems like a nice guy, is a pretty big unit with a big leg. But needs to heavily cut back on the pies and cokes. Did he do the ais afl testing? Presume not

Do we need another 190cm forward? Would rather try to address midfield run or speedy backmen and look to next year for another tall.

He didn't test at the combine but like a lot of the SA boys he measured in

Good read, thanks Doc. Certainly a few surprises in that bunch but the research has obviously been done.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Brett Anderson ( he of the phantom draft inside footy ) has said we're into Bontempelli at 4!
Had us getting Aish a fortnight ago

Champion Data's top 20 has Mitch Honeychurch rated highly and says, "Dogs keen at 42."
