He hasn't played this year. If we had given up on him he would have been delisted last year

I can't see us making finals now so I'm not against bringing in players we need to make a call on at the end of the season when they are in form
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

A lot of the ball for the Footscray boys.. Only really Jong struggling.
Wallis, JJ and possibly Howard and Redpath staking claims in particular.
These stats can be misleading given the quality of the opposition even allowing for the fact that Coburg had won its two previous games. I thought Campbell was a standout in the ruck with his 56 hit outs and given Minson's moderate form would like to see Tom elevated to share the ruck work. Redpath deserves an opportunity given our inept forward line. I would think that Hrovat because of his superior skills would be a good replacement for the suspended Clay Smith.

You keep banging on about sharing the ruck work, but if neither can provide some value up forward (which they haven't this year) for extended periods then we can't play both.. The days of resting a ruckman on the bench for extended periods are long gone.

Also Minson's stats from our game v GC were 14 disposals, 3 marks, 5 tackles & 42 HO's... they read quite similiarly to Campbell's from the VFL game.

I went to the game and Coburg's ruckman would have been barely above 6 feet 2 inches tall. Campbell's (and Cordy's) hitouts need to be seen in that context. Neither were that impressive around the ground either.

Macca said at a function a few weeks ago he is happy to be patient with both of them

Quality of opposition is one thing, but I think more importantly the Footscray side clearly played a high possession game, really sharing the ball around. You could still play a lower possession game style against a weak opposition and numbers wouldn't be skewed.
