Two of the VFL’s form sides will face off on Saturday when the Footscray Bulldogs line up against North Ballarat at Simonds Stadium.
Both sides can boast an extended winning streak with Footscray seeking their sixth consecutive win while the Roosters will be eyeing their seventh ton continue a mid-season purple patch.

The two sides met in round five earlier in the season, where it was the Roosters that prevailed by two-points in wintery conditions at Eureka Stadium in Ballarat.

The Bulldogs have not lost a game since their away visit to Ballarat, while the victory was the first of the Roosters’ current streak.
On that occasion Brett Goodes, Fletcher Roberts and Mitch Jensen were amongst the Bulldogs’ best.
Both sides have proven form over top-four sides and premiership contenders, with the Bulldogs upsetting league leaders Port Melbourne and North Ballarat recording victory over reigning premiers Box Hill Hawks in recent weeks.
After making his debut last week, Will Hayes has been named as the 23rd man for Footscray and will continue to gain exposure at senior VFL level.

The final team will be determined on Friday afternoon, with the AFL side scheduled to confirm their extended squad at 5:00pm (AEST).

If the weather improves a bit this should be a good game.

Anyone got the lowdown on this Will Hayes? I wonder why they mentioned him in particular?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

They won't let us have thirteen interchange players either.

It might sound stupid, BUT, every week when I click on these threads I love seeing senior listed names across every line. For years we've looked across the lines and seen roughly a 50-50 split and had to scroll down to see players in the VFL ressies. Every week I almost surprise myself in reading all senior listed names, it's great to read and even greater to watch.

I will be at the game. I've always enjoyed going to our VFL games. I think we are back at Simmonds the following week as well.

Many VFL write ups mention the 23rd player that i've read. Could be a 'motivating' mention to other hopefuls.

With all the outs for the senior team, Footscray are going to be a much weaker side this week. Will rely on a few top ups to perform.

Anyone going along? Updates or a review would be great for the Footscray VFL group Facebook group I am running.

Thanks GVGjr, reports from Woofers about the VFL are invaluable when you are far north of the Victorian boarder.
Look forward to it. I'll get in early is there a radio stream today?

Roosters kicking with a strong wind and are 1.3 to no score

Dogs are tall, Redpath, Williams, Markovic, Cordy and Campbell all in the team. Conditions don't suit
