Not even worth listening to St Kilda if they pitched that at us. I don't see McCartin like Boyd last year, it's the currency of the best kid and pick 5 plus a rising star player is not worth it.

Also how many times has the #1 ended up being the best player in their draft. Not many.

Some pretty good players, nevertheless

That's not the point of the discussion. The point was history shows it's not worth giving up a very good young player and an early pick for the potential gold mine pick 1 will bring.

Dealing with Pelican??? I would rather poke needles in my eyes. This year is one where you could throw a blanket over the top 4/5 anyway so IMHO there is no benefit in trading for pick one.

That's not the point of the discussion. The point was history shows it's not worth giving up a very good young player and an early pick for the potential gold mine pick 1 will bring.
