Re: ROUND 18 - Werribee Tigers vs Footscray Bulldogs
I think from memory he was just too thin the first few years and that he hardly even got a look in, Also he was not quite matured and did a few things that were addressed that kept him out.I'm sure we'll start seeing an improved effort and work rate once his contract is close to the end. Amazing what a free run some players get while the same supporters bash other better performed players constantly.
60 games in 7 years and at 25 has probably 4-5 years left before retirement. Hall of fame Eker.
i think we are a far better side with him playing as he is smart and a hard match up. Its just between the ears with him. (No punt intended)
I would sign hem on agin but keep him on one year contracts as he looks the type you need to keep on his toes.BB.
Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.Comment

His first year was ruined by a stingray sting and OP. From then, he's had a pretty good run at it injury wise until this year.I think from memory he was just too thin the first few years and that he hardly even got a look in, Also he was not quite matured and did a few things that were addressed that kept him out.

He was certainly strong enough to play well in 2010, his third year when Hall was providing a strong presence in the forward 50 but he badly tapered in 2011. 2012 and much of 2013 was disappointing, and one can only suppose this was more to do with his attitude than anything else.
Sure, he's come from a long way back physically though I don't think that should impact his intent and or work rate as he has demonstrated from quite early in his career that he can impact a game irrespective of his physique.
This year has been a difficult one for him injury wise, though he really needs to show some good signs of being over that very soon.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment
