Re: 2015 Draft Watch
I agree and I think it's something that will be interesting to see on draft night, not just with the #1 pick but many of the top 10 picks where clubs are trying to sell a vision for the future. Melbourne and Essendon are the big ones in that regard but for different reasons. Talent wise, I think Melbourne should be bidding for both Hopper and Mills but one or both may well sneak through until at least 5, or even 6. Also at #8, if only 2 of Hopper, Mills, Kennedy etc have gone, will Carlton choose not to bid so that they have another "top 10" selection that gets to come up on stage, have their photo taken with the guernsey etc.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
That would be very poor if it occurs. The Academy clubs are already getting a big discount, if the top 10 pick clubs don't keep them honest, it'll make a mockery of the system.I agree and I think it's something that will be interesting to see on draft night, not just with the #1 pick but many of the top 10 picks where clubs are trying to sell a vision for the future. If the bidding system does work well, I wonder if in a few years, all clubs will have their own zone and academy and all players will be bid for, with the academy club free to counter the bid. Would be fairer.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
That'd be Kyle Galloway of Murray Bushrangers. A few are spruiking him. Apparently developed late in year, is massive (206/105 and growing) and quite athletic. Long way off it though, would think he's rookie at best.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
I had a look at the NSW screening that he attended. The results suggest that any description of athletic is very generous.
Very slow in the sprint, way off on agility and significantly behind in the beep test.Life is to be Enjoyed not EnduredComment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
Would be really interested to compare how Sandilands compared in testing....or did they not do testing when he was drafted?I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
Spectacular call in August T&TBailey Williams is an interesting one. I've known Bailey since he was a little fella. He's shot up a lot in the last year and is having a stellar last month or two of footy, on the wing. Is reasonably well built for his age and a good height. His old man is an ex heavy weight boxer and rugby player and is a massive unit. Bailey spent about a month in the glenelg reserves side, then dropped back to the eighteens where he had 56 (yes, 56) possessions at a high disposal accuracy rate, numerous tackles and a goal. Also got high in the best players on the weekend just gone as wellComment
