I'm very keen on Jesse Glass-McCasker from Swans Districts. A 198cm full back who caught my eye at the nationals.

Anyone got any intel on him?

Good to hear about Milera. He caught my eye at the Champs and is a player that could fit in nicely with us.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

          He's a great size.

No idea where he sits at the moment though. Would selecting him potentially release Roughead from the back half?

T&T I'm hearing talk of SA boy Ryan Burton, even comparisons to Stringer.

Similar, but could develop into more of a big bodied midfielder, super talented but (like Stringer) could slip down order due to injury.

            Any opinion?

Ryan used to play Junior Footy at Glenelg, won an u15 flag with Billy Stretch, Alex Neal-Bullen and Cory Gregson

Has missed the last 12 months with a broken leg, but that trick seems to have worked ok for Jake Stringer

Not sure how big bodied he is, haven't seen him for a while. Is a "confident" young man, played Senior Footy for North Adelaide last year for a few matches, IIRC his first possession was an absolute screamer of a mark which he converted.

              Definitely super talented,great skills.

If not for his injury he would be talked about as a top 5 pick based on his talent. He might slip but I wonder if he would get past either Adelaide or Ports picks.

Not that this means a whole lot, but I've seen 2 'expert' preliminary phantom drafts (one top 20, one top 25), one had him at 17 and the other didn't list him at all, which gives cause for hope.

Hopefully some of the safer options will appeal more to other clubs as the year continues and Burton remains out of sight, out of mind.

2 others I reckon may appeal to us and could still be available are Kieran Collins and Harry McKay.

                      Pick #1 for me.

Wow, a much messier injury than Stringers clean bone break. Patella tendonitius, knee instability, etc..etc And unlike stringer's injury, this guy hasnt played since because it has been less than a year.

Dal is on record about last years draft saying 'we cant afford to miss any picks'. I guess its all about the medicals.

Just thinking about the ruck forward and what are peoples thoughts on Darcy Fort, 204cm and 93 kg could there be something to work with. This is a question for the VFL watchers.

I think the knock on him is that he lacks the aerobic capacity to become a senior footballer.
He's a fair way off the mark from what I have seen.

A candidate who may fit our needs is Matthew Flynn, an 18yo 203 cm, 102 kg ruckman from the Riverina who has better than average ground skills and mobility for a player of his size.

Is part of the GWS academy set-up but they are pretty stocked for rucks and may let him slip.
