    TV Show Character Deaths

Memorable, shocking, upsetting etc. I was having a convo tonight about this and was curious for nominations.

Molly in A Country Practice seems an obvious one in Aussie TV.

Lem and Shane in The Shield sticks with me as memorable. Hanks demise in Breaking Bad sucked too.

Adams death in Spooks was pretty full on and unexpected.

As was Ros's afte she'd already been dead once.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Danny Sorenson and Bobby Simone from NYPD were bad stories. Simone is particular because of his battle with a heart condition.
Sorenson (Simone's replacement on the show) disappeared and was basically written out of the series and was suspected of being dead and much later that was confirmed. Andy Spiowicz did not handle either death well and also during the series lost his wife Sylvia Costas when she was shot.

The Coach (Ernie Pantusso) was a huge departure from Cheers. Nicholas Colasanto had a heart attack and died between series and the writers honored him from the balance of the show time.

Henry Burns being killed in MASH. The way they did was amazing. Everyone in the OR when the announcement that Henry's plane was lost over the China sea and there were no survivors.

That was such a sad moment. I'd imagine it would have been even sadder, watching it for the first time.

I only ever got to see the re-runs of MASH, so I kind of knew he left, but didn't know how.

THE WIRE - SPOILERS BIG TIME

For me, The Wire. But hey I am biased towards this show. My favourite show of all time.

Wallace, D'Agenlo, Omar, Bodie and Snoop.

The one that I often reflect on is the scene between Michael and Snoop. It was towards the end of the show

The Red Wedding is burnt in my memory. Everything about that scene was just so well done. The way Walder just watched and continued his food was chilling.

Red Viper I was literally left gobsmacked and sat like that while the credits rolled. He was probably my favorite character at the time and was celebrating his victory until....pop.
