Prince was a force of nature. The perfect music making machine.

I heard on the news that he died from a drug overdose. I hope its not true.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Sad. He was always such an enigma. I hope he gets laid to rest in the biggest platform shoes ever made. There seems to be more famous dying more than ever, or I'm becoming more aware of it.

        RIP Prince
I lived in a guest house in Japan in early 2000's with a session drummer. He spent a few years working Prince's place in Minnesota.
His stories about the disclaimer he had to sign were pretty funny.
Had to sign, in writing that they would not look Prince in the eye at any stage.

One cool Prince story, Stevie Nicks was stressing out about her song ' Stand back' so she calls prince. He drives over walks into the studio, lays down the famous Electric organ track and just walked out without saying anything.

        Smooth.

Great stories. Apparently off stage he was very shy and didn't like the limelight.

Terribly sad. Saw him in the late 80's or about 1990 at Rod Laver.
The enterance was memorable, a double bed came down from above with Prince in it.

                Great story. Love it.

Richard II used to do the dontmeetmygaze thing sitting on his throne with everyone else facing him but not allowed to look him in the eye. If they did inadvertently meet his gaze they had to prostrate themselves at his feet and beg forgiveness.

Kevin Smith gives a not so flattering but very funny synopsis of his dealings with Prince here.

A music genius. Definitely weird like all geniuses are.
It's a shame he died so young.
