Maribyrnong River has dropped below minor flood level.

Very serious flooding situation currently in Country Victoria.

My bro-in-law was helping to fill sandbags at 1am last night in Shepparton. It's going to be a scary week up that way.
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

A great guy as EW said. Will be a nervous time for many Victorian communities.

I think technically he’s Ardmona, he’s just out the back of Mooroopna. He’s currently in the “Stay Informed” zone but they’ve already lost power.

Who ever let them build that stupid wall to stop water going on a race course but push it towards houses should be sacked. What a cock up.

Don't agree. The houses built all along the river with concrete and roads etc. also stops the water from penetrating the ground.

Yet to be proven the racetrack wall contributed to the flooding to the extend it did.

I hope everyone is ok in the regions currently affected.

Yeah I dunno, I'd be pretty filthy if I lost my house just to keep a race track dry.

Big shout out to the Aussie Army, the levy banks they are creating are going to save hopefully a heap of houses. Over 3km all up.

Ive been in Echuca the last couple of days helping my previous employers sandbag(the business backs up to the Campaspe and it's a bit of a losing battle sadly) its going to devastate the port area.
