    Poor form indeed
OK, from a teacher's perspective: parents who are constantly late picking their child up from school, and offer no legitimate or believable reason. This usually happens with little ones. I taught a kid in prep and his mother would be late at least 3 days a week. I don't mean five minutes either, we'd often be waiting 15 or more outside the room. And she regularly would "apologise" by saying she'd had car trouble. Boy, that car was a lemon! It's very annoying when you're treated like a child-minding centre. Funnily enough, the child in question just graduated, and have a guess who was late to the ceremony? Yep, you guessed it.

I'll come fro the opposite side. Teachers who regularly dont dismiss their class until 10/15 minutes. Usualy they lack the timekeeping abilities to pack/clean the room up in time and then expect parents to wait while they supervise the task. This is OK if you only have one kid to pick up but if you have an older kid at a different school waiting to be picked up then it can be very frustrating.

Having said that I work with groups of disabled kids some weekends. We all meet and drop off at a specified place and the last thing we check before parents leave is they know what time they are expected to pick their child up. The longest I've had to wait for a late parent is 90 minutes.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I really, really hate ice cream sticks. I love ice creams and icy poles but just cant handle the wooden stick that holds them. Just the thought of touching one makes me dry retch!

This means I have to go through a complicated ritual of pulling the wrapper down and then winding it around the bottom of the stick that is exposed. My kids torture me by leaving them on the bench top or in the sink.

Dont get me started on those sticks that doctors use to hold your tongue down while thet look at your throat.

Especially when you know it's just Mrs Brady Old Lady in with the doctor complaining about whatever illness it was that they googled that morning.

Then they almost push you out the door once you've got your turn.

Has anyone mentioned the use of 'your' when 'you're' is required? That really grinds my gears (nod to any Family Guy fans there)

Yeah, that's not very good. I might keep them a couple of minutes, but try to avoid it as much as possible. It's not like you don't know when the bell is going to ring!

Have you thought about giving an Eskimo Pie, Cornetto, Sunny Boy or Drumstick a go.
                  Problem solved.

Technically not an ice ceam but I love 'em. The flavor isnt as strong as they once were though!

I love them. And no sticks to worry about.

The way our club has treated its legends in the past.

                                Scott West
                                Chris Grant

                                And others...

Seeing Scott west in Melbourne gear. Surreal
