Tobias you know what you do? You buy yourself a tape recorder....

    For me:

    Arrested Development
    Game of Thrones
    The Wire
    Seinfeld
    Modern Family
    The Inbetweeners

I can't really comment on the worst, I don't tend to give any thought to shows I'm not interested in.

I don't watch too many shows from the USA, but really enjoy Mad Men.

"The Adventures of Lano and Woodley" deserves a mention for me. Fantastic show.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Agree strongly about Omar. He's one of my favorite characters fom a TV show too. Have you seen Michael K. Williams in the third series of Communiy? My kids really love Community and when he appeared it inspired me to introduce my son to The Wire.

Anyway my list in no particular order-although The Bill is #1-it's pretty much all cop shows and comedys.

          The Bill
          Fawlty Towers
          Law And Order SVU/CI
          Taggart
Sherlock (The Benedict Cumberbatch/Martin Freeman version-my fave show ATM)
          The Wire
          The Office (UK and US)
          Mitchell and Webb
          Red Train
          Armstrong And Miller
          Simpsons
          Curb Your Enthusiasm
Dr Who (suprised it hasnt got a mention yet)
          Warners Bros cartoons
          Dad's Army
          Father Ted
          Life On Mars
          Spooks
          One Foot In The Grave
          Spaced

I dont really give all that much thought to TV shows I dont like.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

No one does comedy quite like the British as far as I'm concerned. I grew up watching shows like Fawlty Towers, Allo Allo, Dad's Army and the like.

My favourite sitcom of all time has to be Frasier though. The chemistry between the actors was priceless and the storylines were brilliant at times.

I'm also a fan of the Big Bang Theory.

There's not much I truly hate but I cannot stand to watch Current Affairs shows. They just make me more cynical than I already am about the modern media.

Very happy with the amount of Arrested Development love on here. Ron Howard's twitter is currently an absolute goldmine...

Was a big fan of Skins UK (first and third seasons were best). Dexter is up there with the best TV series made in recent/all time.

Into the second season of Breaking Bad and loving it, Game of Thrones is great.

Shows on my 'to watch' list: The Sopranos, Friday Night Lights, The Wire.

                    NO TOUCHING.

I watched the Soprano's after all they hype had died down, it wasn't brilliant but watchable and to be honest come the end of it I was fairly disappointed and let down by the experience.

Interesting. I thought it was one of the best series ever created, and is where my love of HBO started (Reminds me I still need to watch The Wire). I agree that the final Season was not good it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth wanting more, but the drama and ongoing development of the characters throughout season 1-5 was brilliant.

The Sopranos just started from the beginning on "Soho" on Foxtel for anyone interested.

It was the final season which frustrated me no end. I can't say what I want to say as some haven't seen it yet!

I'm impressed by what SoHo has to offer. I've set The Newsroom to series link...figure I can just download The Sopranos when I have time to watch it though.

Entourage is another that I keep hearing good things about but have never watched.

Special mention to Frontline. It is almost 20 years old now but looks as contemporary and relevant as ever - they couldn't have nailed the grubby practices of the tabloids and current affairs shows any better. Hollowmen was razor sharp with its portrail of Canberra as well.
