It's a show based in a small Texas town so bypassing religion as a factor would be kind of silly, although I have to admit I've never found it a huge factor in the show and I'm a staunch atheist. Anyway high school football is the real religion of Dillon, Texas which is part of the fabric of the show.

Speaking of Texas, the show I'm re-watching that probably didn't the love it should have is King of the Hill. Relying more on character driven plots and jokes than say a Seth MacFarlane show, it's surprising it lasted 13 years on FOX with it's much more subtle sense of humor.

It's probably not a coincidence that it was replaced by the Cleveland show.

        Rules of Engagement.

        Love it.

        Californication is a favourite, too.

On long haul flights overseas, there is no better way to fill the time than to watch an entire series of this back-to-back. Can get a little formulaic but gee it is an entertaining show.

I love it. Cleaver's character is fabulous. Just the right amount of attitude, genius and stuff ups.

I thought the writers were in too much of a rush last season, certainly the politician should have been kept longer and I didn't like Cleaver getting dark, but I thought last week was great.

I just watched it on Iview and it started growing on me as I kept watching it. I didn't see season one so the characters were all new to me.
