Re: Favourite Musical Artist or Band
I used to always see Robbie Watts busking with his banjo, used to always say gudday & throw a few coins in. Makes Bill's conduct even harder to understand.
Last I heard Ross Knigth was driving bulldozers up the bush & they still get together for the occassional gig (ex-Hoss drummer is with them, dunno about the new guitarist).Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Pretty sure it's march 29. You'll find me at the front with a beer in my hand.
They've also remastered Pilgrim's Progress with some live/unreleased/Dogman EP songs and I've listened to it about a 1000 times since last week. Superb, just superb. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Re: Favourite Musical Artist or Band
Has your mate got any stuff by 'The All Seeing I'? Discovered them last year and I just cant track down their album or EP. It's somewhat frustating!
I got into a few 'light and sound' DJs a while ago. Really loving Cornelius and Fantastic Plastic Machine ATM, although I know they are fairly 'ten years ago'. Fuzz Townsend, Fluke Nightmares On Wax and Solex-who I all found through one TV show soundtrack are also high on my current rotation. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Ernie respect to the Eric B & Rakim, Ice-T calls and I was a keen Pavement, Weezer, Smiths, Stereolab, Pulp, Portishead, Stone Roses, Underground Lovers, Hunter and Collectors fan
I felt with all those rappers down that Public Enemy would feature who are for me are still the best

Re: Favourite Musical Artist or Band
Well I can add a few more bands to my list of favourites.
Firstly Radiohead are just about my favourite band, pretty much collected all their albums mid last year and continue to be blown away. They are fantastic.
Also turned into a bit of a fan of Big Country thanks to my Dad. Steeltown is a great song.
The Cold War Kids are one I discovered through Triple J. Mexican Dogs and I've Seen Enough are both very good songs, and they're a bit different to most of the other stuff I listen to.
Bought the Foals album antidotes, which is pretty solid throughout.
Liam Finn is another very talented musician from his family. Good album and a nutcase live.
Don't mind a bit of the Mars Volta, but not a massive fan, likewise with Nick Cave.
Rise Against is one band that I found through Triple J, and they've got quite a good collection of songs.
Snow Patrol is a band that hasn't produced great albums as such (mind you their first is pretty good), but do manage to write some very good individual songs: Set the Fire to the Third Bar, Chasing Cars, Run, If There's a Rocket Tie me to it.
The Wombats have a couple of good songs, but some absolute crap as well.
Xavier Rudd is a more earthy John Butler, and has some really good music.
And then I discovered the Temper Trap, who are fantastic. Caught them as the support act at the Franz Ferdinand concert, and they were just as good. Saw them again on Friday at the Corner Hotel, and am convinced their first album is going to be great. Particularly recommend "Sweet Disposition", "Science of Fear", "Ressurection" and "Love Lost", whilst there are some other very good songs that I can't find a copy of anywhere on the net.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment
