                Really concerning in the modern climate of head injury. Perhaps that hit yesterday shook him up worse than thought

                    A lead of 450+ should suffice. Thus just after lunch gives us 4.5 sessions (140 to 150 overs) to bowl them out.

                            Smith gives up his wicket trying to keep the run rate moving. They are unlikely to bat after lunch.

                                        Yep, it would insert a lot of doubt in them and give then 40 minutes to stew it over.

                                                            I've read that every now and then Bradman would turn to the slips cordon and say "it's time for a round up." and proceed to hit the next eight ball over to each fieldsman from the gully to square leg in turn.

                                                            Smith could probably do that. If we could convince someone to bowl eight balls to him.
                                                            They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
