Two quick wickets could break them. Cook would be the best of them to get.

I should add he wasn't hit today but is reporting he is dizzy.

Really concerning in the modern climate of head injury. Perhaps that hit yesterday shook him up worse than thought

A lead of 450+ should suffice. Thus just after lunch gives us 4.5 sessions (140 to 150 overs) to bowl them out.

Scoring at a rate of knots, 72 off the first 13 overs and 434 up at drinks

Another 20 minutes of slogging then send them in

Smith gives up his wicket trying to keep the run rate moving. They are unlikely to bat after lunch.

Great declaration. 10 minutes at them before lunch.

Yep, it would insert a lot of doubt in them and give then 40 minutes to stew it over.

What would we be saying if an Aussie played the shot Cook just did in this situation?

I've read that every now and then Bradman would turn to the slips cordon and say "it's time for a round up." and proceed to hit the next eight ball over to each fieldsman from the gully to square leg in turn.

Smith could probably do that. If we could convince someone to bowl eight balls to him.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
