Starc with 14 wickets in 3 games (some dropped catches too). If he keeps this white ball form up some seriously good comparisons to other great left arm quicks who could swing it and bowl killer Yorkers. I love watching him do his thing at the moment, he looks like he could take a wicket every delivery.

It's a good point BT, I watched his spell last night and the most impressive thing was that he realised it wasn't swinging early, came around the wicket to the right hander and worked on hitting some good areas. He was far too good for Bancroft

It's hard to pick the best 3 quicks for a test team if they're all fit. Johnson and Starc. Then Pattinson, Cummins & Hazlewood. Then Bird.
I'd go with Pattinson. But if we could go 4 quicks and find a spinning all rounder I'd be happy. But Lyon has a few years left and Marsh is wanted too, so I guess it's not happening.

Alex Ross is a thief. He's stolen this game red handed. What an innings to win!!! 18 off the last 4 balls to win!

Another 5 for Starc today, the one day version of him is simply too good for domestic cricket at the moment

19 wickets in 4, with dropped catches. He's really raising the bar the last 12-18 months. Im happy to see a young player actually consistently play to their potential.

Is the exposure for these kids worth a fair few embarrassing performances?

I don't see the advantage in it perhaps it might work over the longer term.
Agreed, if they wanted the concept to work they should have sprinkled mature heads who were willing to play like Hodge, Hussey, North, even Fawad Ahmed through. They would have gotten much more from it
