Laughed at all these MMA fighters wringing their hands "How can we become an Olympic sport like this?" until I just remembered beach volleyball is now an olympic sport. Go figure.
What makes me laugh is how people keep asserting martial arts improves your discipline and character when half these bozos are are bozos. And despite all that I will be watching Bellator tomorrow, so I share the blame in all this. Go Fedor. Russians cleaning up recently.
Trampolining is (or was) an Olympic sport! The things that kids bounce up and down on!

Talking about being a real fighter and not a bozo. Follow the link for a doco about boxing at its best, these men genuinely did not like each other and really put something into every punch. Watch Michael taunt Ellis with a big smile and a "is that really the best you can do Lester?" every time that Ellis hurt him. And make no mistake that every punch that Ellis landed hurt Michael. But Michael took the belt home that night, even though he never got to defend it because he was attacked in a nightclub a couple of months later by Alphonse Gangiatano and the heros from the Carlton Crew who had gone all out and backed Ellis heavily and weren't happy when they had done their dough.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Rather watch Trampolining than Beach Volleyball...
Fedor pulls of a nice win. The gangsters in Oregon are all talk.

Did you watch the real fighters on the doco?

Not sure about how Bellator feel having Bader run through their heavyweight tourny...I think he beats Fedor too

So fun to watch Fedor turn back the clock with those Sambo throws.

Bader will rag doll him though.

What a farce this weekends UFC event is. They've basically moved to a different venue to get around the high profile John Jones testing for a banned substance.
I know many fans wont care but they will lose some of them for this blatant flouting of the rules

Disgraceful treatment of the fans. The ones that had tickets now have to make their way to the new venue. All the bookings hotels, cars, flights etc out the door and as far as I know not much of an explanation or apology from the UFC.

The UFC has made ut clear its all about the pay per view audience. Its unreal to hear Dana White explain why they are letting Jones fight as well.

It's becoming boxing for how corrupt it is.

Highlight of the card for me is young Aussie Alex Volkanovski fighting Chad Mendes. Mendes is a huge step up on what he's faced, but a win puts him well and truly into the division's top 5.

It's probably got a little way to go to reach boxings level but the perception to many fans will be that it's heading that way. I couldn't be more disillusioned with the UFC at the moment. They appear to bend the rules for their biggest stars when they really don't need to. They're so scared someone like Jones will move to Bellator if they suspended him as they should they'll now allow him to get around the testing.

Well Volkanovski had an easy of enough win against a quality opponent.

Great win. Nullifed Mendes' wrestling and has tremendous cardio.

If I'm him, I'm calling for Ortega or the loser of Aldo/Moicano. He's a win away from a title shot.

Dominated someone who typically dominates others. Nunes is a fantastic puncher

He was right to call out Holloway - he (Holloway) has already beaten all of the top contenders, and if Moicano loses to Aldo he won't be getting a shot either.

I'm not sold on him and think he gets smoked by Holloway, and disagree that he nullified his wrestling (he got taken down multiple times but showed pretty strong grappling to continually get back to his feet), but beating and stopping Mendes is no easy task and deserves a fair step up.
